I'm sure there's some better videos out there too. I only watched a couple of them and only linked the first one I found.

I first hear about these guys 5+ years ago on PBS. I think I was watching a NOVA about squids in general with an emphasis on Architeuthis and at the end they had some very creepy music playing as they showed some video similar to that in the YouTube video of this guy :p

Probably the temp of the surface of the sun - not all that hot, I think it's only a few thousand kelvin.
Google confirms. About 6000K

Now the center of the sun - I think that's in the millions of degrees.
