google "libertarian" and you'll find that it doesn't mean "liberal"

You don't see highly successful people clocking out of the office every afternoon at five. The losers are the ones caught up in that afternoon rush hour. The winners drive home in the dark.

One of my favorite lines regarding work ethic, and something I take to heart.

if you think people should spend their whole lives at work, away from their family, then i think your priorities are messed up.

Did I say that?

The point was, don't complain when people who spend their lives at work become more successful and eventually have to work less.

please keep the spewings of sensationalist media tools in P&N. That goes for all sides.

It's just another Ann C./M. Moore hype-my-own-BS fest. Do any of you really take that seriously?

Halfway in and I give it a

You are expressing a conservative opinion though, so prepare to be banned, your house firebombed, and your children eaten.

Actually, Boortz is a Libertarian.

libertarians are quite conservative, generally more so than republicans.
You might notice that most of the items on the official Libertarian blog could just as easily be found on a Democratic blog - attacking Republicans. See recent stories on the Downing Street Memo, the Real ID Act, the war against the judiciary, ect.

You can call Republicans and Libertarians conservative, but that doesn't mean they're anything alike these days.

This is one of the most retarded things ever posted on this board. But it doesn't suprise me at all that there are people here to who agree whole heartedly with it.

...that it should end instead at 9pm ("the winners drive home in the dark."). and when you have to go to bed at 12 (gotta get up early and be in the office before everyone else, right? only the losers get stuck in morning traffic...), I can totally see how you would have time to spend with friends and family.

Here in Seattle, for most of the year it gets dark around 6-7PM. I don't see a 7AM to 5PM or 6PM workday to be unreasonable.

yeah, and half the year here it gets dark at 5. That's not what the dumbass writer was talking about though.

Needless to say, people who are defined by their work, who spend there whole lives there (an exception may be made for a few special cases, but those won't apply to 99.9% of the population) are retards, who have completely missed the point of living.

Wow that is a nice generalization there skippy.

I am defined by my work to some piont because let's face it you spend about half of you awake time there.

I am also considered one of the best in my little nitch world because I understand that my sucess in the owrk force meens I am willing to do more than the next guy.

Basically You can not have your cake and eat it to. If you want to spend the time with the family that's great however understand that I will get the promotion and the better job because I stay an hour later if need be. I do not say THAT IS NOT MY JOB. I put the company first when I am at work and while a company may toss me aside now and again I will be unemployed only as long as I would like to be.

I made a CHOICE to do more at work and if you think that is retarded you are the one missing out my frind. I have NO College and Yet I can afford to have my wife stay home with the children while I do my job. I make above the average salary for a household in MN and again IT's JUST me and NO COLLEGE. Effort will get you alot further then most anything. DO I miss out on some stuff"? Yes and I do regret it at times however I understand I could not afford to really enjoy my time off If I did not do what I do at work.

I leave my house @ 6 AM and drive 1 hour to work then I leave work usually at 4:30 if I am done but If need be I will stay and I have been know to stay past 12 to get sdone what needed to happen. If not getting to put my kids to bed everynight meens they can go to college and have everything they need to be sucessful then I will take that trade every time.

Do not critize thoose who do more than you. Understand that because there are people like me you can do less.
