the color burgundy

i think i like the color of these boots, called burgundy, but i'm color blind so i need some second opinions.

is it too red?
does it have a hint of brown? not sure if they would go with a brown sweater.

what other colors (clothes) can i wear with these burgundy boots?

I think I'd describe that as mahogany.

The color's fine but, I'd describe the boots as butt ugly. To each their own. I thought side zippers went out in the 70's.
