The Colbert Report

I dunno. It's hard to watch simply because it seems exactly like the Daily Show but with Colbert instead of Stewart. I saw a great analogy the other day saying that it was like taking M*A*S*H* and creating a spin-off show about a mobile hospital in the Korean War.

I attribute it to one whole half hour of a Daily Show skit, but since Colbert was the best reporter, it works out

I especially like "the word"

For me, it's like more chances to randomly catch the daily show on TV everytime I turn it on. Which is pretty cool.

It's the same? We must be watching a different show.

Colbert is doing O'Reilly to a "T". I can't wait until O'Reilly guests on the Colbert Report. 😀

I watched a couple episodes from last week and thought it was god awful. He stumbled like it was his job... get it?

It's hilarious now, but the show is completely driven by Colbert being a raging egomaniac. He'll run out of content before the first season is over.

i like it. just different enough that it works. but watching both in succession on my tivo almost every night makes me note that many of the jokes / topics obviously overlap. but it *is* news based after all
i think with time colbert will slip on his words less. we shall see. i think it would be cool for colbert to have stewart on as a guest some time.

i actually saw jon stewart do a stand up show in DC this past friday. he was hilarious. i was kinda hoping colbert would come along for PR...but no luck

I love the show. It definately has its funny points. It's fun to catch it after the daily show, and its still one of the better programs on CCentral
