Ok, So I'm trying to study for my final but just had what I'd call a deep thought (since my thoughts are the polar opposite of deep to begin with).. Imagine this scenario:
It?s the year 2015. You and your wife, two career driven/savvy 30 year olds stricken with infertility, decided that it?s time to have a baby. You both decide that cloning is the most cost effective method of reproduction at this point and take the plunge: the local ImCLONate clinic clones your wife using her own DNA and surgically ?installs? one precious fertilized egg ? your future daughter, Liza.
Cut to 20 years later. You and your wife get into a big fight and you storm off to a local bar. You?re 50 years old, losing most of your hair, and both of you have been so dedicated to your respective yet different careers that you?ve slowly become strangers. Drunk off your ass, you stumble home to find your daughter, Liza, slinking on a couch? In her you see everything that you loved about your wife when you first met her: beautiful, idealistic, unspoiled by the corporate world. Scientists still argue over nature vs. nurture but, for whatever reason, Liza looks and acts just like your beloved wife did 30 years ago ? when you truly fell in love with her.
You slowly fall in love realizing that Liza is the women that you?ve lost and then you begin to think about how you lost yourself over the years. Your midlife crisis is accompanied by incestual yearning.. Only, is it incest?
God, I must be really blazed right now.. Only I?ve been studying for a media final and not smoking a thing
Any thoughts?
