i'm sure you've all heard it a million times before, but alas, i ask you again. i've looked around at all sorts of boards and processors: socket 939, nforce4, sli, sata raid, dual-core p4s and dual-core athlons, htt, ddr2. that last time i did my "homework" i ended up with a setuip equivalent to my older setup, with even less overclocking headroom. i'm looking to spend at the MAXIMUM -> $250 -> $300. i know it's pretty low, but the family doesn't have much money, and i just want to have something that doesnt make me bang the wall -_-
i've been looking at a64 stuff mostly, because it seems to be the best thing going atm. i'd be fine a with a nice stick of 512mb ddr, i can deal without 1gb for a while. if anybody has some good suggestions, please let me know. don't let me waste my money on something silly ;(
