An act soon to be headlining in prison!

Ex-NYC police boss gets 4 years in prison. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100218...lYwN5bl90b3Bfc3RvcnkEc2xrA2V4LW55Y3BvbGljZQ--

And you thought ties to organized crime and employing illegals in his house was the worst of it. This guy represents the worst of the worst to me, I think 4 years is too lenient.

"The fact that Mr. Kerik would use that event (9/11) for personal gain and aggrandizement is a dark place in the soul for me," said federal Judge Stephen Robinson."

"The defense spoke of his bleak upbringing, his steely leadership after the terror attacks, his remorse and the debt he has incurred to defend himself. It supplied letters of support from his son, fellow police officers, a priest and a man who lost two sons on Sept. 11.

There was no letter from Giuliani."

Heh, guess the romance is over...

Re: your bold, when is Giuliani's sentencing?

No, Giuliani just lies to the people, haven't heard or seen anything about him lying to the White House.
I'm sure Giuliani's taxes are up to snuff now! If there was a way for him to prosecuted for billing NY tax payers for limo rides to go bang his mistress, then it prolly would have happened by now.

Having said that, Giuliani's penchant for using 9/11 for political spin is pretty damn disgusting, but the good news is he's done it so much even the wingnuts roll their eyes when they hear him do it.

Well, that's why I said re the bolded. The use of 9/11 for politics was to the public, not to the White House. Though it was to get the White House he did it.

The article seemed to not be that clear about the list of charges, even as it dubioulsy made space for the claim New York is the 'grandest' city. It is sad to see the behavior by a police chief.

And it's refreshing to see accountability.

Totally agree. This speaks volumes about Giuliani as well; the two were inseparable for years. Even if Kerik was ultra-competent the man is scum and Giuliani had to know it, so after all those years he could have at least written a letter of support. It's not like he can hide their relationship.

Giuliani may run again, and he may even be the lesser evil. But no one should have any doubts about the man's morals now. Kerik is as bad as anyone Clinton associated with, and Giuliani was thick as thieves with him. At least Clinton kept his criminal buddies generally out of government.

Speaking of which, I never thought I'd say it, but I miss Clinton. Even more than I miss Bush. (Damn near as much as I miss Reagan.) If we had Clinton and the 1994-2000 Republican Congress (before they went crazy) things might be getting unscrewed at a pace visible to the naked eye.

He couldn't fit all his feelings regarding Kerik into a 911-word letter.
