Just a thought....
Considering the intense hatred between the two political parties, republicans chanting to "lock em up" against their opponents, and democrats labeling Trump republicans as American traitors, I ask what would happen if one party actually proposed the idea of all out violence against their opponent?
The hate is already here.
We have people of all sorts of religious backgrounds currently running for and currently serving in congress.
And people of various sexual orientation currently running for and currently serving in congress.
That very mix which creates extreme hatred in people of intolerance and bigotry.
We've already witnessed the hate talk and the name calling, and this election has hardly yet begun.
Trump people chant LOCK HER UP against Hillary. Would they go as far as to chant KILLL HER, KILL HER if provoked?
Provoked by someone, oh say some Donald Trump extremist in the crowd?
Or possibly from Donald Trump himself should he feel threatened enough as this election process unfolds?
If it appeared to Donald Trump that his success was in question?
And maybe they already believe this?
Believe that the assured reelection of Donald Trump better have a backup plan.
And consider the democrats, feeling that Trump conducts traitorous acts and his people and his congress support traitorous activity with their support of Donald Trump.
And what do they usually do to traitors?
Could the anger and the hate become so intense to cause violence and the enacting of violence between the two parties?
After all, never have people been so divided.
And as that division widens so does the hate and intolerance intensify.
All it would take in one candidate up there speaking to his or her people to go as far as to suggest losing is not an option, and to be rejected at any cost.
Donald Trump already claims that elections can be "rigged" and "illegitimate".
Especially the elections that Donald Trump fears losing.
Donald Trump has already suggested should he lose in 2020, that result would be considered illegitimate.
And to make things worse, has suggested his people have the will and the power to correct any illegitimate election outcome.
Any election outcome that Donald Trump considers illegitimate.
So, how far exactly might we be from an all out civil war between the two parties?
A civil war of physical hate and physical violence?
It it possible?
Is it inevitable? Especially this time?
I can predict this election will be the most nastiest election in American history.
Once the two challengers have been chosen, down to one against one, this election will quickly become an all out war for survival.
Only one side will survive. And the losing side will consider their loss unacceptable.
So, the big question is, will the civil war of hate and violence emerge during the campaign, or after?
Because as intense as things are becoming, and will become, with one side warning that democracy itself is at stake while the opposing side warns this is all fake and illegitimate, how does this end?
Either Donald Trump will lose and as Trump has stated that option is not an option, or....
Donald Trump will win, and the losing side believing they have an justified patriotic duty to protect democracy.
Either way, this appears to be heading for a political civil war of hate and violence.
I don't see any other way, considering the intense division.
