the circle and the line - which one is on / off

On on/off switches that use circles and lines, which one respresents on and off?

Go behind your computer at look at the rocker switch. Changes are the side that is parallel to the case is the one that means on.

yup, I always associate it with binary:
1=on
0=off

That's how I remember for those switches.
