It's pretty cool. you can be an athiest and an ordained minister at the same time. You can leagally perform marrage ceremonies (state law permitting).

 

If I were to join, what exactly would I be worshiping ?

yeah, sounds like this church needs a mission statement ;)

i too have been a minister for the universal life church for years! when i first got ordained i went to parties and offered to marry people.
the joke seemed to wear off quick for everyone but me

Yeah, I did it years ago too, but lost my printout and PDF of the certificate. I just re-did it and printed 3 of them for proof. Now I am ready to marry people! :)

I'm an official (apparently according to the state of Mississippi) religious leader of the Church of the Big Plastic Fork. We used to have a website. Maybe it's time to get it back on the internet.
