The Chinese government has blocked access to a Web site used as a conduit for donations to President Obama’s re-election, The Post has learned.

The action comes following a report in Sunday’s Post that the Obama.com site had been registered to Robert Roche, an Obama campaign bundler who lives and works in China.

An analysis by the Government Accountability Institute found that Obama.com gets almost half its traffic from foreign computer addresses.

GAI sources used more than 100 different Chinese proxies to get on Obama.com. Each time, the effort produced an “error” message that is consistent with sites blocked by the Chinese government.

“It’s a shocking revelation that the Chinese government wants to do something that the Obama campaign wouldn’t do. They’re more sensitive to American sovereignty and campaign-finance law than the Obama campaign,” said GAI founder and co-chairman Steve Bannon.

I wonder how much cash flow Obama must have been getting from the Chinese?

What ever the amount it was apparently significant enough their government to took notice and shut off the spicket.

Pretty sad when our highest elected official is basically selling American sovereignty to get re-elected.

There were a lot of rumors last election that he had tons of foreign money, but no hard evidence. I personally believe Obama gets pretty sizeable donations from foreigners, but I doubt it's significant to the election as a whole.

Blame SCOTUS, you think it's bad now? It's going to get way worse.

Romney gets a mil from Canadian company. Obama donations from china.

Next cycle candidates are going to have foreign sponsorship on lapel pins.

Money is speech and corps are people.

Obama thinks the American people are stupid. When he claimed he did not receive any foreign donations via his open to everyone website on the WORLD WIDE web and then refused to show the source of the anonymous donations, he honestly thought everyone was stupid.

Sadly, he was right...most Americans believed him.

Lotus we could only dream of enough transparency that they'd actually put pins or patches or hell even share with us who donates. IMO donations should be unlimited, but you can only donate in your own name, no corporate donations, no anonymous donations, everything transparent. That way if the Koch bros want to give someone ten million for their campaign we know about it.

Lol at cybersage acting like that's an Obama trait and not a trait of every j
Member of the oligarchy that runs this government.

If you have a link where he claims that he receives no foreign donations, please provide it. This is a serious request.

Edit:After googling I see all these conservative site up in arms, yet they even quote the administration saying that they are using as many controls as possible to ensure that no illegal donations are being made.
If you ask me, the Chinese did the Obama campaign a service, now they don't have work so hard to filter out the questionable donations.

Not a problem. It is hard to find his statement from the past due to a newer statement that was made - but the new statement basically says the same as the old statement:

OFA does not accept donations from foreign nationals or any other ineligible individual—and the campaign voluntarily goes above and beyond Federal Election Commitments to ensure the integrity of fundraising efforts.

If you ask for proof, though, you will get the typical Obama "transparency" response of "No".

I must have missed the part of the article that says it was an official "run by Obama's campaign" website.

When you make a promise of transparency and then be one of the more opaque administrations in recent history, you deserve to be called out on it. Obama did it to himself with that lie.

Cyber sage don't disagree with you there, but it's simply not a trait isolated to Obama. The entirety of those who run the government carry that trait. They are the thieving class and you can NEVER trust a thief, ever.

Oh, I agree...I just hold Obama more to task since he promised to be different.

You think that is bad. Just wait until Roe v. Wade is extended to say you cannot tell corporations what to do with their "body" :awe:

Huh? How is he selling American sovereignty? I personally like our sovereignty so I am very interested in the answer.

Probably because he's Kenyan.

Sandorski, don't pull this off track like that. You're going OT. It's lucrative for foreign entities to invest in the Presidency, it makes perfect sense they would spend money on this.
