My grandmother had one of those. I always loved the dialing action on it. I always wanted to take it apart to figure out how it made that funky sound, and why the wheel turned as slow as it did.

I haven't owned a cell phone since 1995 and chances are very good that I never will own one again. I definately needed one for work in those days but not any more, and I just don't like being that accessible. Never have I owned a pager.

they survived with fustration
meet friends.... plans change, get stuck in traffic, friends waiting are stumped what to do, cannot alter plans on the fly.. it was inconvenient.

if i need to call someone there is a pay phone 200 meters from my house
