I can predict the republican response right now...

Democrats suppress votes more! How else did Obummer steal this election?!
or

Or

Attack the person's integrity. Admittedly pretty easy in Jim Greer's case but doesn't seem so easy in Gov. Charlie Christ's case.

There may be other more interesting responses... hopefully

Will we be entertained?

Can we invoke the same rule Democrats use on voter fraud where if there was no criminal conviction of voter suppression it doesn't count?

This makes sense so they wont do it. Asking voters for ID to make sure there legal isn't voter suppression

That's never been the 'rule' you just always tried to reframe it as such.

The 'rule' was not to use incidents of voter fraud that would not be stopped by voter ID (such as the convicts who were able to vote) as a reason to support voter ID laws.

The very idea that voter suppression actually works scares me. I mean, if you're able to legally vote, it's like the easiest thing to have to do as a citizen.

Not that easy when you have to wait several hours and in some cases up to 8. There are a lot of people that can't lose several hours (work, kids, school etc...) in a day and give up.

It took me about 45mins to a hour from the time I got in line and walked out. And that was in a area that is known to be run well.

Can't watch that right now. Doesn't matter if he/she disagrees, The Left on this own forum has stated numerous times, voter suppression isn't an issue, it's made up. Who am I to argue?

You're getting confused. We have said that the voter ID laws only affect a very rarely used form of voting fraud. In person voter impersonation.

It is so rare that it is pretty much the same chance as people getting struck by lightning whether they survive it or not.

Other forms of Voter Fraud such as dumping ballots well voter ID laws do nothing about that crap.

Why is that leftists only want to obey the Constitution when it suits their special interests?

As someone who has demonstrated, repeatedly on this forum, a complete lack of understanding of the Constitution and what it protects I don't think you are really one who should be judging.

You're confusing suppression with in-person fraud.

Maybe I am, it's really hard to keep the excuses on this board straight. What's good is that now that Dems have this supposed mandate, they'll pass a National ID law, and get national voting straightened out. Should take about 4-6 months from start to finish. By June we'll have our answer on if this is a real issue or not.

"Greer himself faces trial in February. He's charged with stealing $200,000 from the GOP while leading it."

That's all you need to now. Songbirds facing trials are no source at all.

What? They're are the best sources because they have so much to lose.

Why would they pass a national ID law when they have repeatedly stated that in-person voter impersonation is extremely rare?

What would a national ID law do to help registration fraud, absentee ballot fraud or voter suppression?
