So unlike many of the users here, I've been reading Anandtech since around 1998, and even had an account in these forums years ago. I'm sure it's long gone, given that I never actually did anything with it. But, in these last few years I found myself actually exploring the wealth of questions and ideas posted here, and so I created another account not long ago. My point of all this, is that I ain't some punk kid whining about being banned are having a thread locked. I'd just like to know what happend to a thread I created a few days ago. I'm not quite sure if I violated any Anandtech Forum rule of net etiquette, but I was under the impression that what I had posted was quite cute and funny and thought it might've been a worthy contribution to the Off Topic Forum. In it, was a link to a halarious scene in Me and You and Everyone We Know, which is a pretty darn good movie. So if any of you guys could tell me where it went, as it certainly aint listed under 'My Messages' in My Forums, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Yeah, I noticed that thread was gone.

It was obviously a bit silly, but hardly worthy of being baleted.

Have they instituted a new form of punishment? Combination ban and deleted? Baleted. I like it.

AFAIK, it's mod fiat. Some moved, some locked, some deleted. I think the mods like having work to do.

Each Mod has their own style of handling problems.

There is enough legit work here without having perps volunteer to create more for us.
However, when then do, it is nice to get out the BAN stick.
