Yeah, he might make a minor show of fighting but in the end he won't want to continue dragging this out in public and will settle to get it behind him.

edit: not to mention that the court, the media, and the prosecutors all FAILED her in this case. She never even stood a chance to be a witness in the criminal case after what she had to go through with death threats, moving to 5 states in 1 year. What a fvcking mess. Kobe owes her a couple mil, and after signing that FAT contract he can afford it.

Well he should, not because he's guilty but because he has lot more to gain if all the dirty details don't come out. He'll settle for damage control. I don't know how anybody in their right mind without being a flat-out moron, based on all the details that have been leaked out believe Kobe is guilty, its completely assinine.

Yeah I agree, I think he is going to settle just so this goes away. I think everybody now realizes she is nothing but trying to grab whatever money she can. Kobe may have done something unethical but evidently not illegal.
With the prosecution dropping the criminal case before it was completed made it look bad. Now with the news of trying to file a civil suite in California because there is no damage cap seems to be a clear indication of what the goal was the entire time.

Assuming the police transcripts that were published on thesmokinggun were legit....Kobe is a fscking tool and I hope she walks away with a couple million.

I thought the whole thing was a sham and had some respect for the kid before reading those documents. But having read them I can't really feel bad for him.

Man this girl has already admitted to lying to police about some of her initial testimony. This girl is a liar. He banged her and now she wants money. Its as simple as that.

let's look at this another way.

what if it had been your daughter that had gone to kobe's room but by some miracle came out without having sex / being raped.

would you continue to encourage that behavior of your daughter? or would you seriously sit down and talk to her / punish her / reprimand her / pay her off, your choice of parenting technique to try and encourage her NEVER to get in that situation again?

i'm not saying if my daughter had gone willingly to a guys room, started making out with the guy, made sexual advances towards the guy and then was raped i wouldn't be out for the guys head, i would, but BEFORE all that happened, i would definitely do my best to insure that my daughter NEVER puts herself in that situation unless she was going there to willingly have sex.

Yup, that's what happens when you lie and bring false charges.

I doubt 'koalas and boob-jobs' gets anything now. All the dirty laundry has been aired (with the exception still of some of hers) and her money-grubbing civil lawyers have nothing to lord over Kobe now. Zilch. I believe the damage caps in Colorado will be used as an excuse for the lawyers to quietly drop out of the federal civil case there in Denver without ever pursuing anything in California. It'd be a good move to cut their losses as they stand no chance of any reward near Kobe's hometown.

Still, hard to believe someone like hot-shot lawyer ace Lin Wood would not know of these reward caps. After all, it's always been about money with this false accuser. But just like most everyone and everything on Fibber's side during this whole charade, Wood's explanation reeks of B.S. to high heaven.
