I've decided to raise my car price range to the low $20ks, and I think that widens my options quite a bit.

I really like the idea of having a Subaru with AWD and am leaning in that direction. I'd be interested in suggestions for other sensible driving options (a little fun is OK too) in that price range.

So far I've test drive the Civic (hated it, underpowered and too small), Corolla (too small, knees hit the dash), Matrix (underpowered but liked the seat/cabin) and the Impreza (which I like the best).

you expected to the corolla, civic and Matrix to be powered :Q ? If you test drive those cars, you don't test drive an Impreza. Anyways, Accord is nice for that price. Impreza is not a bad option either.

Are you trading something in?

With our trade, we got our new fully loaded 2004 Jeep Liberty for a little over $19k. The sticker price was something around $25k - $26k, but apparently they really wanted to clear out the 2004 stock.

I said I just raised my limit. Those were the cars I've tested up to this point. The 2004 Impreza is in that lower range. I can now look at the 2005s.

I live in NE so I like the idea of having AWD. There are alot of Outbacks on the road around here. I would rather have a Legacy, which is completely remodeled for 2005, but I don't think I can swing it.

I am trading in but it's not worth mentioning. No American cars for me thank you.

My mom picked up an Impreza 2.5 Sedan recently. From couple times I have driven it, I am fairly impressed. It handles very nicely and has enough power for the size of the car.

Though, now I am looking at the Legacy.😀
