Yes, let's get mad at the people who complained about the traffic when they didn't know about the accident.

If they complain about the traffic and they know about the accident, that's one thing. But the people complaining about the traffic almost certainly had no idea about the accident and I'm pretty sure that they were not complaining about the traffic once they knew.

We had something similar on the Sunshine Skyway bridge a few years back. They tried to blame the Florida Highway Patrol for not doing more to prevent it and not the drivers for doing 80 in a 55 in the fog.
