The candidate of change...

Pappy O'Daniel: "We need a shot in the arm. You hear me boys? In the goddamn arm! Election held tomorrow, that son of bitch Stokes would win it in a walk!"
Junior O'Daniel: "Well' he's the reform candidate, Daddy."
Pappy O'Daniel: "Yeah?"
Junior O'Daniel: "A lot of people like that reform. Maybe we should get us some."
Pappy O'Daniel: "I'll reform you, you soft-headed son of a bitch. How we gonna run reform when we're the damn incumbent? Is that the best idea you boys can come up with? Reform?! Weepin' jesus on the cross. That's it! You may as well start drafting my concession speech right now."

😀

I'n sensing a theme to this election...

Whats funny is, Obama was the only one using change until a week after he Iowa. Then the other dems picked up on it for NH. And after NH, the Repubs started speaking "change."

I think Paul has been talking about change even before that. 😉

It's not Paul's message of change these 4 scum suckers are trying to steal, it's Obama's and the really egregious phony is that chameleon Romney who is all things to all people. What a disgusting centerless slime ball he is.

Paul is on stage with nothing but slime balls, and yeah, Romney is certainly one of them. I think he's done well with his "Washington is broken, and I'm not from Washington," rhetoric. I wouldn't buy a bar of soap from him, much less a used car.

I do fear that Obama is not capable of bringing the fiscal changes we need, and perhaps could make matters worse. But other than Paul, who doesn't really have a chance, there simply isn't anyone else worth voting for.

We are going to be in real trouble if Obama doesn't get the nomination, because our choice will inevitably be between douchebag #1 and douchebag #2.

Right, right. Obama was the only one talking about change. All the other candidates were talking about how they were going to continue with the great work that George W Bush has done for the last 7 years.  What a brilliant idea Obama came up with, who would have thought of that? Who would have thought that people wanted change after GWB?

Exactly!

Obama has been using the 'change' mantra since his campaign began.

Hillary picked up on it when she realized her 'experience' mantra wasn't carrying any water, either factually or with voters. Now she's "the agent of change" ROFL

And yeah, the GOP has picked the phrase up too. Talk about follow the leader.

When somebody disagrees on something me and Pabster believe you can be sure you'll looking at somebody a few brain cells short of a thimble. MORPH's in another thread arguing how all blacks think alike.

OMG, that was quality. It was boring until they started to really sing it.

hameleon Romney who is all things to all people.

Moonie, don't you realize he embodies change more than them all put together then?!

All the other candidates were talking about how they were going to continue with the great work that George W Bush has done for the last 7 years.

Not all, just the republicans (minus Ron Paul).

Ain't that the truth!

Due to the financial state of his campaign, when Ron Paul uses the word, "change," it's usually preceded by the word, "spare" and followed by a question mark. 😛

Ahh, come on now, Pabster and Moonie, for what it's worth, I would bet money Paul was sending a message of change before Obama. 😀

Probably before Obama was even potty-trained. 😛

I think you have him confused with McCain. 😉

Paul hasn't had to ask for much more than a dime. Those money bombs were implemented by his supporters, not someone in his campaign.

lol yeah. I'm a paleoconservative with liberal social values (ie; keep the gov't out of our lives AND our pocketbooks as much as possible), and although I've had some serious disagreements with you on things like foreign policy and the like, I have grown to respect you as an individual thinker. You're definitely not a GOP puppet, which many here are, puppets of the GOP/Dem party line. I won't name names, but you know the types.

I would not doubt that. But it's not from Paul the sycophants got their new campaign theme; they are copying a known winner. No offense to Paul, but he's not driving the election and Obama is. And I don't think Obama got his own notions of change from Paul either. When Paul is the Republican candidate I'll vote for him.
