that kinda fails if you support it with something that isnt true

I just wanted red to realize all i wanted him to admit was that both sides of the political spectrum lie. If you cant understand that then im sorry. Look at my last post with the example of the mob. Yes i like the sopranos 😀.

And there are people that believe saddam is not seeking WMDs. We should take both those nuts and send them to death camps. I mean happy camps, where they will recieve the best medical care, lots of exercise, and free haircuts. I love that scene South Park.

Wish someone would have created a page like this for Clinton. It would have been a mile long!

Besides, Bush has a reason for this stuff. He is facing difficult times for this country. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

it is more along the lines of he is CREATING difficult times for this country!
Iraq is just a way to try and keep the focus of the nation off of the fact that him and his cronies are busy raping and pillaging our nation.
He is more concerned with trying to bribe Turkey to the tune of 23 billion dollars so he can waste a few hundred more billion to get even with Saddam, because his daddy didn't get the job done the first time. This war with Iraq has nothing to do with the usa's safety and everything to do with petty personal revenge. he should thing about using that money here at home on things that need to be done, for our own citizens. have you noticed the deficite? the tax cuts for the rich? the raping of our enviromental protections and natural resouirces for the proffit of a few of his friends. can you say halliburton? can you say west coast energy crisis? have you noticed his health care reforms?

I'm tired of Bush saying one thing and doing another. He is lying to the public to gain support.
Are you tired of Hilary because recently she's been a bouncing ball on the issue of iraq. No one knows where she stands--i dont think she does either. But she just keeps pleasing the croud.

Funny how you didn't mention this. But if you did know about this, then you my friend have a double standard issue.

Scratches head.. what has Hilary have to do with this? She's a Senator from New York not the President of the US.

Just pointing out a double standard that you have red.
And for the record: almost every politican will say one thing, then contradic themselves to please voters (democrat or republican). I hate it too. So i agree with you when a politican contradicts himself, it's annoying, but dont single out one group when it occurs on both sides. Thats why i pointed Hilary out, cause it's a double standard if you only point out a certain group (Bush) when other people do it too (Hilary).

Look at france and germany they said in resolution 1441 that IF iraq fails to disarm or disrupts inspections then they MUST use force. Now they are trying to retract that and say that's not what they meant. So singleing out bush makes you appear to not hate contradicting politicans as much as you hate bush--which shows your true colors.

Sure, I know both sides do it, but Bush is the president of the united states and it is important for him to be truthfull. He is the president after all. And pointing out that democrats do the same thing is no way of justifying bush's actions. Just because other people do it doesnt mean that we should stand by and let Bush continue to LIE to us. He keeps making promises that he does not keep, he may sound like a wonderful president to a lot of the public because he says he is going to do all these great things, but, he does not do them!!!

The disgusting part of this whole thing is that this stupid page is being paid for by all of us (notice it's on the house.gov server on a subdir controlled by democrat David Obey).

David Obey's claim to fame is championing Bush Sr and the 1990 tax increase they both helped craft and then beating him over the head with it during the 1992 election against Clinton. Class act that Mr Obey.

Pretty much everything on that list falls under "politics as usual". One person's "cut" is another person's "lack of increase". One person's "lie" is another person's "reality check". It's all a matter of which side of the fence you're on.

I've followed politics for a long time and it always tickles me to watch both sides playing musical chairs every time an election is over.

The only real change was Clinton. He was the most single-minded politician I've ever seen...completely and unequivocably devoted to exactly one thing...himself. I kinda miss him in a way...every new front page always greeted me with "The Whitehouse is denying reports that...". The memories...

If he wants to go pay a hosting company to house this, by my fricken guest, but why in the world are my tax dollars going to create and host this? The page itself says "Produced by the House Appropriations Committee ? Minority Contact: David Sirota (202) 225-3481"

And yes, I would feel the same if this was an anti-clinton page housed on government servers by the republicans.

Bill

That one page does barely costs anything to host, and you are complaining! Of All all the stupid stuff our taxes go towards and you are complaining about something costs you virtually nothing. Looks to me like you just dont want people speaking badly about Bush. Wake up!! It's stupid to defend a president just because you voted for him, if he is doing somthing wrong (even if other politicians do it) then it is a good thing that the public is aware of it.

This is why IMO Carter and Reagan where ten times the president either Clinton or either of the Bushs are. It's not just the liying when it's very important to do so Like Iran/contra, I can forgive that. But it's systematic lies day in and day out and using terminology which does'nt accuratly describe the situation. I call it PC speak. Words like "Collateral Damage" an nice way of saying innocent women and chilren killed, or the phase we hear all to often today in what is supposed to be an open government "That's sensitive" meaning press stay away and we don't want you to know.

Wow, you read from my post that I voted for Bush. I never said, and I also mentioned I'd have the same problem if this page was about Clinton. My tax dollars don't need to go to pay for some staffer to maintain a page bashing the other party. If they want to do that, then do it on their own time, with their own funds, hosted at their own site.

this is called grasping at straws.

What pisses me off is that my tax dollars are going to support that website which is essentially running a pre-election ad for the democraps. Great.
