Thanks Mfenn...

For the life of me, and others it seems, getting the asus p67 MBs to show both SSD and HDD drives is TOUGH!

What is so frustrating now is this...

DSCN9827.jpg

HDD does NOT show in W7 "Computer" or in Asus UEFI...

But is shows in device manager and even shows where I FORMATTED it...

I am losing my mind!

LOL!

My God man, use the Print Screen key!

Since Windows can see the drive and even the partitions, you should be able to use it. Type "computer management" into your Start Menu, press enter, and then choose the Disk Management item from the list on the left. Take a screen shot of that and post it.

LOL, same thing happened to me. System was acting funny with BSODs, errors, random shutdowns, etc. then finally nothing. A stand-off was touching the board and eventually it fried. Learned my lesson. :p

I had a case with a built in standoff that didnt match the case screw layout.

luckily I caught it quickly, had to use a small rubber foot to keep it from touching the mobo and frying....ya know, while I waited for a new case to show up :whiste:

Dude, you're not wasting any time now! You got that beast going well.

You can start thinking about whether you want to shoot for a higher overclock now (and possible HSF remount), or inching the voltage down to see what it takes for 4.33 stable.

WTB full system installed pics.

Thanks and I have not even messed with OCing yet, Mnewsham said it must be the TURBO BOOST that kicked on during the Intel Burn Test. The only thing I have done so far is set the UEFI to "Performance..."

Gotta say one other thing...

GTX570 OC is WHISPER quiet!
HAF 932 Fans are quiet!
Hyper 212+ Fan is quiet!

I have to travel for business the next two days but really looking forward to cleaning up the wires, putting the sides on and seeing how quiet this thing REALLY is!

Grats bro, it's looking good. The 570 is a beastly card. I don't know if it will run games in 2016, but for now it's killer. :p

This dude started building his PC yesterday around this time; it should've been done in an hour tops.

Taking this long to build a PC is just ridiculous and completely unnecessary, I built my PC in 30 mins and everythings running smoothly and I'm sure that this PC is gonna last years.

who cares about what you did?
gtfo or follow along silently for cripessake.

if you spend a grand on parts you can surely spend a a few hours setting it up.

not everyone is a tweaker.

I don't do the build-n-boot routine, seems like extra work to me. I put in the CPU, attach the heatsink to the mobo, plug in the RAM, and then bolt the mobo into the case. (After prepping the case properly, removing ATX I/O slot brackets, installing I/O plate cover, installing standoffs (remember to tighten with a needle-nose pliers, finger tight is no good), installing the PSU, etc.)

I know you already noticed about the PSU mounting question in another thread, and I'm sorry I didn't notice it sooner and mention it here, but it is generally better to mount it with the fan facing down. Your case has bottom vents, so you'll get the coolest air intake from below, unless you put the case on really high pile carpet. Heat rises (granted not with a lot of force), so you don't want the fan fighting gravity. Most people that try for nice cable management prefer the cables to be as far back from the window/normal access panel, and behind other components as much as possible.

Cable management really can take a lot of time, and is mostly an obsessive compulsive neatness thing. Cases with just 1-2 80mm fans and 3+ ribbon cables used to create airflow issues, and lower end CPUs used to be more toasty.

I have actually only built 3 computers for myself (built 25-35 total), and my most recent one I felt almost satisfied enough to post pics of on here. I will do it just for your reference, and I'll even get my glassware display case in the background :) I think mine is unique in that I have an extraordinary HSF:MB size ratio.

Looks like you just need to right click on the volumes and and choose "Change Drive Letter and Paths".

EDIT: Seems like you got it figured out. Congrats!

And you guys were hoping to be rid of me...(evil grin).
