airflow my butt, all my parts are running perfectly cool and stable under load; cable management is irrelevant to me theirs no window on my case

obv i have a psu (antec earthwatt 650w)

i dont care if you spend over an hour building your comp; but dont pretend thats the norm, most normal people get it done within 40 mins

Cable management isn't done just because you have windows. I have spent my time doing good wiring in cases without windows because I like my computers neat, not to mention cables reduce airflow.

I can get it up in running in under 30 no problem, give me a bench to work with and im good, but doing it right takes more time.

yeah doing it right (maximixing airflow through cable management, case adjustments) takes about 1 hour lol

1. maximixing isn't a word
2. When doing a water loop, good cable management and SLI/CF with 3-5 HDD in raid and a good OC, you are looking at a good chunk of time.

This dude started building his PC yesterday around this time; it should've been done in an hour tops.

Taking this long to build a PC is just ridiculous and completely unnecessary, I built my PC in 30 mins and everythings running smoothly and I'm sure that this PC is gonna last years.

Well Mike, I work full time, have kids, my wife got rear ended in rain today, LIFE HAPPENS. While building this is important, it's not priority ONE. So great, you built your PC in 30 mins...CONGRATS!

EDIT: it was just a joke sorry if it was in bad taste

It was either the 300 or the HAF 912; both are great but I ended up going with the HAF.

It's a beast build though isn't it? Plows through every game on max settings.

All you have to do is read the many things he's posted since he joined...you'll quickly dismiss much of what he says.
So far:

OMG! PC Gaming is so hard and expensive.

No one should buy a Sandy Bridges...wait for Ivy Bridges

Anyone who spends more than $200 (?) on a monitor is stupid

and on and on and on...

He does occasionally post something worthwhile...:p

So there might be some glimmer of hope deep down inside

sorry...it was a SeaSonic...but still worthwhile advice.

I suspect that he's just new to this...and like many enthusiastic newbies, he grabs onto an idea and no one can change his mind...until he finds something that he accepts as the truth...and POOF! all of a sudden, he jumps from one bandwagon to the next. Kind of like rabid "fanboyism."
"OMG! ATI is the best video card in the world." "What? My hero/best friend/mentor now says nVidia is better?" "OMG! nVidia is the best video card in the world!"

It happens to a lot of us.. Or so I seem to remember.

That seems like an accurate depiction of many new tech enthusiasts.

Anomaly...No dude. Take your time. Just because a poster thinks it takes considerably less time to build a PC, doesn't mean everyone grabs a handful of wires, takes three steps back and slams them into the PC case like he does.

I take more than several hours for my builds as well. You build at your speed, and I agree...while it is fun life does come first.

So take your time, do it right the first time. Ive seen several people over the years...my brother included.....that thinks he is a computer building guru, slam it together bragging at how fast he did it, only to have it NOT boot when done.

Can't wait to see your finished product Anomaly.

Got motherboard today, other packages "still" out for delivery. And we're expecting ice tomorrow. :(

I've built dozens of PC's over the years.

When I built my last one, I spent most of the day at it.

Taking my time, doing the "build & boot" outside the case, installing everything into the case, running wires for good cable management, decided I didn't like the way they were....took them all apart and did it again, then, once everything inside the case looked good, I spent quite a while tidying up the wiring behind the other side panel.

Could I have done it faster? Sure. COULD have been done in less than an hour from start to OS load...but it wouldn't have looked nearly as nice, and I wouldn't have been as confident in the build.

Having SSD/HDD issues with the P67 Sabertooth...

...but from the looks of it, I'm not the only one.

heh? What kind of problems?

Apparently, the 1253 BIOS is still a beta version...and folks in our motherboard forums as well as the ASUS forums are having problems. LOTS of "My board doesn't recognize my HDD or my SSD" kinds of threads.
I'm sure ASUS will get this taken care of quickly.
