It was so erie that monday...like the aftermath of an abomb going off. Those few who cleaned up left the floor to celebrate. Those who got blown out, left the floor because they couldn't afford to make any transactions anymore. And no one would buy their long positions to let them out (this was an options pit.) The rest of us, mostly firm traders, stood around speechless in shock, thanking God it wasn't our money. :D

Haha. I remember going to clerk at the CHX. Every morning we would get to the exchange by around 8 AM and the options exchange is next door. I'd see those guys in their colored jackets and name tags standing outside the liquor store waiting for it to open before heading in to the morning bell. And this was during the good times.
