WTF Cameron the cause of the Brexit misery is back in?

You've got to love the little power plays going on: Some guy I've never heard of getting promoted from foreign secretary to home secretary, then Cameron gets this guy's old job. "Don't get any ideas, Cameron"

Things could get weirder. Maybe Cameron will champion the effort to take us back into the EU?

She's "Minister for keeping the right-wing crazies happy".

Seems there's some teeth to the story if the Telegraph is to be believed

The Telegraph's angle will always be that Labour is in disarray. I don't doubt that Labour has yet to be reasonably united in its position on that topic, but Starmer must realise that he's on course for an election victory so the idea that he then thinks it's a good plan to wipe out the entire shadow cabinet is just a tad implausible IMO. The party would be in utter chaos if he did it; it would result in pretty much non-stop back-biting followed by a purposefully mediocre election campaign in the constituencies, then he would get kicked out and Labour would continue searching for their next tory-lite Nu-Labour candidate to lead the party.

Gotcha, that does make sense, thanks for the insight.

If that happens, it'd be the last straw - I probably won't be voting Labour next election.

But it might not be true - The Telegraph is generally a crazy paper for crazy people. For a supposedly 'serious' broadsheet it's been quite, quite mad for many years now, even as it's changed ownership repeatedly (not sure who owns it now). Conrad Black used it as a platform for his crazy libertarianism and his wife's fervent Zionism, and under the Barclay Brothers it even seriously upset its own staff because of their alleged meddling in news coverage for self-interested purposes. I can't remember a time when it wasn't completely doo-lally.

Lots of UK newspapers are completely unreliable and biased to the point of derangement. The Mail is often singled-out but it's actually not as bad as The Express (paper for northern pensioners obsessed with migration and the evils of wokeness) or the Telegraph (paper for right-wing wealthy southerners).

I don't like Starmer very much, but at the moment I'll settle for anything that isn't this bunch of incompetents.

How did this totally bitching plan come about? Did Sunak want a wall and, when told he lived on an island, come up with the Rwanda plan?

Labour should table a motion to move 10 Downing St. to Rwanda.

Well, they have redefined 'extremism' as meaning “the promotion or advancement of any ideology which aims to overturn or undermine the UK’s system of parliamentary democracy, its institutions and values.”

By which definition, I think most of the post-Cameron Tory Party would qualify as extremists.

Here's an interesting video from Tom Nicholas explaining how the Conservatives are planning to use the refugee crisis which they created in order to stay in office despite their disastrous economic performance.
Keep citizens poor and fighting among each other is the core of the conservative agenda.

Populist idiots who don't understand how politics, law or morals work.
Probably the same ones who were pro-Brexit. Seems like many of those were just too dumb to realize that they we being manipulated (by the Russians and those who benefited by the manipulation). The US and GBR decided to take a long walk on short pier.
