Anyway, I would have wanted to know the capacity of the AK47 (or similar, SAR1 something) with standard 7.62mm ammo. But the site is great, great idea :D

Thanks, cool site. And those wondering about car doors, I tested in the military several rifles/shots against different materials and can confirm: Any rifle (-22cal) will go clean through both car doors. No shield there. We also wore dead pigs with bullet proof wests, and tested what happens... and I can say this, you do not want to be hit by a rifle even wearing a west!!! :Q

Unless you have SAPI plates of course. I know several people who have been hit with 7.62 wearing their plates and came out just bruised.

Them plates will save you, but I've also seen the bruising it does... NO, YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE HIT EVEN WEARING THE PLATES!!! ;)

Lets put it like this: Even if it doesn't penetrate the west, the damage it does is quite... extensive!

Oh I know that!
I meant did it go straight through the car door. The advatnage of doors and glass isnt so much as cover as blowing the trajectory of the projectile all to hell. Theres been cases of even being just a few feet behind a glass window completely botching a shot with a rifle.
I've seen clay "chests" with vests shot with pistols. Holy Christ, even with protection and stoppage, that would HURT and still potentially kill!

Oh... the doors :)

Depends of the caliber, in general:

-9mm/ submachine gun will go straight through 1 door, and penetrates both. Usually hitting 2nd door sideways/ flattened = no telling where it goes from there.

-7,62 will go straight through both doors

-5.56 will penetrate the 1st door, but usually hit the 2nd door sideways, so no telling where it will go after the 2nd door.

Windows are a whole different story. Especially car windows. In one test I fired a series of 5 rounds (9mm HK MP5) from a distance of 7 meters standing up to a car windshield (at the "driver"). None of them hit the drivers seat :)

Basically, 1 door will do nothing against rifle caliber weapons... 2 doors... I guess the question is "Are you feeling lucky tonight, punk!" :)
