Looks good so far......... to bad his love (actress from run lola run) was killed off in the second movie :(

Cheers,
Aquaman

Watch the trailer again... there are three quick flashes of Franke Potente in it. Is she back from the dead? I hate being teased!

I'm betting that they found a look-alike to try and lure Bourne in. I mean, really, what motivation does he have to continue his fight? He could stop now, but the agency wants him dead and silenced. They would have the motive to do something like that. Anything to get him riled up, anything to get him to make a miscalculation. I'm betting on the look-alike booby trap.

Or maybe she really isn't dead?

Maybe we should read the books?

I was kind of hinting at that... anyone read the books?

Whoa.... if anyone's read the books, please put a spoiler alert before posting. Thanks :)

The only thing the books & movies have in common is an amnesiac covert agent named Jason Bourne and some other character names.

The books & movies are two completely different stories. While I've enjoyed the movie series I would love to see a movie trilogy actually based on the books...would be kind of dated now since the Cold War is over.
I was very disappointed when I saw the first movie. Like you said the only thing in common is an amnesiac covert agent named Bourne. I thought the two movies were ok but I'd rather see movies made from the books. If you like the movies, read the books. The books are better IMO.

The books were outstanding. The first much more so but they were all very good. The movies are merely mediocre.

In the Ultimatum book, Carlos the Jackal comes after him. I don't think thats going to happen here.

I'll tell you what Ludlum book I'd like see made into a movie: The Road to Gandolfo. Its one of the two funny Ludlum books. I think it would adapt very well to the big screen.

After reading the books (a year or so after seeing the first Bourne movie), and then re-watching the Bourne Identity, it is almost a completely different plot than the book. At that point, I didn't bother watching the 2nd Bourne movie and I doubt I'll see the 3rd one (which wasn't that good as a book either). The only way I'd watch the 3rd movie is for the action, since they'll probably butcher the plot like when most books get converted to movies.

The books were WAY better. The second movie was the worst display of camera work that I've ever seen in a major motion picture.

I liked the camera work in the second one. I guess I'm just a fan of that style... when used in the right fashion. To me, hand-helds makes the film more gritty and chaotic and I thought it worked well for The Bourne Supremacy. Now if you filmed How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days in that fasion, naw.

Anyway, I liked the first two Bourne movies a lot and this one looks like it won't disappoint. BTW the director from Supremacy is also directing Ultimatum.

It was beyond chaotic, you couldn't even tell what was going on.

The first book was good, the other two sucked horribly. The stories aren't even the same at ALL -- but the movies are generally better than the books so it's fine by me :)

i thought the camera work was fine, it was brand new, giving it the frantic look. frankly if you are observant in that movie, you would understand why bourne did various things in the movie. for example, alexanderstrasse as a meeting point.
