Sub $100 GPUs - would you?

  • I would never buy a sub-$100 GPU

Basically there is enough old stock & rebranding in the channel currently that AMD doesn't currently need to release sub $100 GCN. Besides people buying those cards don't care much about video quality anyway.
 
Cayman performed really well and they were pretty damn cheap considering the performance. I would've preferred GCN as well, but they've had far more time to tinker with VLIW4 than they have with GCN.
 
Trinity quad channel? Seriously? Where did you get that information? No way a low-cost platform is going to be quad channel. Everything I've read so for points to a dual channel.

You're right, it's Vishera (desktop version). Still it's going to be available for those interested in having better GPU performance.
