The Boondock Saints

horribly from a movie aspect, horrible from a story aspect

No no, you're thinking of The Sisterhood of Traveling Pants. Reservoir Dogs is the one where Clint Eastwood and Sally Fields get naked together.

Rotten Tomatoes

They gave it a very generous 8%.

I found this movie painfully embarassing to watch...

a couple of reviewers' summaries:

"It is, by turns, hilariously awful and just plain unhilariously awful, full of its own nonexistent momentousness, an unintentional parody of hardboiled gangster flicks."

-- MaryAnn Johanson, FLICK FILOSOPHER

"A ridiculous, self-important amalgamation of rehashed macho posturing and slow-motion bloodletting. Do yourself a favor: do not attend a convocation with these Saints."

Well by golly! :Q

Yes, really! 😉

I clicked on the thread expecting yo see AgaBoogaBoo saying something like "This movie blows monkey balls and I didnt like watching it."

But I didn't

Sorry, just looked to see when the last time someone posted about this movie and saw a nice long thread started by AgaBoogaBoo who had just posted, so I decided to say something linking the two.

Didn't mean to build up your hopes.

here... if it helps:

You think that movie critics are going to steal the movies they watch and drink them? 😕

he's trying to make their educated opinions invalid because he loves mindless action movies like b.s., and can't stand someone articulate (better than most can) why the movie is trash.
