Greetings.

Starting up a new forum for ALL Boinc users regardless of team/projrect choices.
Hoping to create a fun place where folk can shoot the breeze.brag of milestones/issue individual and team challenges etc......generally have fun.

Anyway, I hope some of you find it worthwhile and join us.
Only just starting so not much content as yet.

Say.. since this is BOINC thread for everybody anyway.. is there a list of DC projects that are Linux friendly? I'm thinking of giving Linux(probably Ubuntu) another try and would like to know which projects to look at ~ read "easy". 😉
 
and it's been awhile since i've done any DC but how transparent can BOINC be? i don't really want anything shown when booting up or logging onto my computer and nothing in taskbar.

You can do that with boinc. If you install as a service and tell it not to load the console when logging in. It'll crunch away when the machines logged out and when people are logged in and will be completely invisible (aside from the task in task manager)

okay can someone help me with a stats problem if it's even possible. i started back into DC last week and used my same email to sign up for the account but i did a lower case instead of uppercase or vice versa for the first letter of my name jened. is there any way i can combine my stats or do i need to reinstall of my new computer so credit is going to the old id. it's only one week of stats, so i don't mind losing them, i'd rather crunch toward the old id if i have to i just don't know how.
