Anybody else read this book about a killer hacker?

Have you ever heard the phrase "the Blue nowhere"?

When was the last time you thought of your machine as a "IBM Clone"?

Seems to me like this Devers fellow took a crash course on modern computing and spit out a book, he should have spent a bit more time on his research. IMHO

Havent seen this one but Jeffery DEAVER has written several other excellent books:

Among them:

The Bone Collector

The Devils Teardrop

The Empty Chair

9 or 10 others.

Ill read this one based on his past work but you could be right.

BTW, not thinking of it as an IBM Clone doesnt make it not one unless you have a(shdder) Mac.

Yes, you are correct, ALL wintel machines are IBM clones but that term is antiquated as AFSIK, IBM has been out of the PC business for years. Seems to me the wintel is a more common term for the general IBM clone.

BTW, it is a good read.

Is this a Lincoln Rhyme novel? Those are his best IMHO but most are good reads.

I think not. This is my first Devers novel, where which would be a good one to read next.

My stepson checked this out I started reading it while waiting for him to finish Enders Shadow.

Either the Bone Collector Or Coffin Dancer introduces Rhyme. I believe it is the Bone Collector, much better book than movie as is always the case.

Just checked my library and Bone Collector is the first. As I mentioned before he has written a lot of novels and has been an "Edgar" nominee twice.
