Looks like a pretty good movie.

And yeah, the special effects aren't bad considering how old it is.

Yes, one of the greatest cinematic representations of the truth of self hate spilling out of the unconscious into artistic drama. The Monster of the Id is real. That is the reason for the nightmares. This film was very helpful for me in self understanding. Remember the Krell metal vault they were supposed to be safe in, the one the energy banks kept lighting up to puncture? A fantastic scenario where feelings long repressed can no longer be held out of consciousness.

This reminds me of a vivid dream I had where I was imprisoned in a room one couldn't escape and there was a huge spinning gem in the center of it. As it spun rays of light pierced my body giving me energy. Beam by beam I became stronger and stronger and I knew in my dream that I would break out.

Those lasers looked pretty lethal.

And I liked the brilliant ones who run right up to it to shoot, as if the lasers are more lethal from 3 feet.

I like how the soldiers get closer to shot at it. Obviously these laser guns don't work at 45ft range, at 20ft it will kill him!@
