Seems to me that the whole story with Red's 'cleaner' is being set up for a long rather unlikely and pointless mini-story about her implausibly surviving Red's shot and slowly getting back to freedom, and that there is some sort of confrontation coming up with Red. The show has set her up as the 'just avenger' by spending shows having her explain her actions to Red in a sympathetic way, and having him respond with a cold attempt to murder her.
It seems a bit clumsy as a pretty forced setup to put her in that 'just avenger' role.
But what are they going to do with it?
It seems unlikely she'll be returning to work for Red, or just go her own way. And it's a very long buildup for just a confrontation where Red kills her, and seems they can't have the star killed by her.
