My BB just took a dive into some murky waters. D: (Yes I fished it out and washed my hands for about 15 minutes straight)

Now I'll have to get a new one for myself and give this one to the next new employee. :awe:

I've had a few close calls before, but never had it go in. What procedures to do you all use to make sure the phone doesn't end up in the drink after dropping a deuce?

I find holding it with my hands usually works. Equally as effective as not dropping it. Another excellent strategy.

Some real butterfingered people put their phones in ziplock bags for extended bathroom use...

If you're hardcore, you just wear a diaper and avoid the electronic killing water...

Lol at the responses in this thread. I've had this happen to me and the phone pretty much went downhill from there. It would turn on and make calls but would work 50% of the time. The key to save a phone is to not turn it on until it's been completely dried out. There's no guarantee but it'll have more of a chance this way as opposed to turning it on, which fries what remains of the circuitry.

Multiple times, I've had items leap from my pockets while pulling my pants up. Always from the deepest of pockets, too. It really blows my mind that it's even possible.

I want to rage every time it happens.
