I could be a smart-ass and say "well the photo says bikini" but I do see your point.

They have a lower and upper section, and it was decided to connect those sections with a piece of dental floss. As opposed to a swimsuit which actually covers everything in between.

As far as ugly goes, I have to admit I only posted this because of the chicks. It was the first (almost) non-nude pic I could find.
