I was watching THE BIG IDEA on some channel a little while ago. I had never seen it before but the topic of violent video games was on. I sat through about a half hour of middle aged folk talking over eachother about how the 'statistics prove that males are more violent' and that 'banning violent games would feminize society'. Two younger people were on the host: one a friend of the Columbine killers and the other (dont know who he was affiliated with) were balancing out the arguments with some more realistic insight. The host seemed to keep everything under control pretty well and ended it with "you cant really stop it" blah blah "parents need to figure out what their kids are doing" blah blah...
Just before the end commercials he completely changes up his demeanor and says:
"I've now found out that there are games that are imitating the war in Iraq. Those game developers need to take every dollar that they make and send it to the families who have lost soldiers over there. Shame on those game makers... every PENNY should be given to those families... shame on them..."
Thoughts?
