The big boy list of old things that are still cool

I give you . . . tada . . . the zippo fueled pocket hand warmer.

Fill it with lighter fluid - but not too much. Put on the cap that permits aspiration but not flame. Fire it up. Replace cap. Slide it into its soft velour pouch (you're going to need that in a few minutes).

I think I got this back when I was a boy scout. Will check with the Amazonian if these things are still available.

This bad boy has been burning for the past 24 hours, outside to keep the cat food warm and it's still hot-hot-hot

There seem to be a few different designs on Amazon. So, I guess that's nice. It does seem to get much hotter than the air-activated disposables.

The big jon-e will get so hot you have to open your coat. we have had a few cold snaps where I have taken these and put them on mu inside coat pockets. I use the air activated inside my gloves.

I love these things.

It should have come with a fabric bag you use to adjust temperature. In the bag with the drawstring closed is low, bag open is medium, and no bag is high.

I had no idea that the bag was important so I currently have it a canvas drawstring bag with a pretty tight weave and it's still quite toasty but doesn't seem to be as hot as when I had it out to take the pix. Thank you sir. 🙂

non-edit edit: I'd never used this before because one of my OCD hangups is fire. I've always acted as if it were a living and malicious thing. Don't ask why. There is no "why" when it comes to OCD. I'm sooo grateful for Luvox.
