I made this post on another forum and decided to post here as well.
Also as one more note, I know speedtests aren't exactly relevant but I put them there anyway as they are a statistic.

If chrome beta is 4th place in loading a youtube and loadign a bing result, then how can it win? Is Maxthon really that fast at loading pages?

Google Chrome may not be the exact fastest at loading web pages (There are only SMALL differences between the browsers)
But it wins in all the benchmark tests..It wins out of brute force.

I can also say for a fact it's more stable; But I haven't came up with any good stability test yet (I do have some ideas). I'll add to this when I get the chance.

To answer your question about Maxthon, Yes, For me Maxhon is extremely fast at loading pages, The femtosecond I hit enter the page is loaded, whereas I can notice a (albeit very slight) delay when using other browsers.

In terms of alternatives... The only alternative I would consider using to the big 4 (Opera, Chrome, IE and FireFox) would be Maxthon. It has my favorite UI, Some nice features, and is all around a nice browser. It may end up being my new main browser actually. Although I do have 5 more browsers I haven't tested yet. So keep up with this thread if you're interested in seeing some not-so-mainstream browsers.

Midori might be interesting to bench. It's a light browser, so it isn't in the same class as Firefox or Chrome, but it might be a good choice for people who want things simple, and don't use much in the way of addons.
