Can you change the bible code? I mean, say you got ahold of the Israeli leader and broke his leg a la Tonya Harding the day before his death. Then, he doesn't get assasinated. Then, the code is no longer correct? The universe implodes and ceases to exist?

So in layman's terms, how exactly is this accomplished? Is some mathmatic algorithm used to select Hebrew characters that relate somehow? I read the link but didn't really understand where the matrix fit in (been awhile since I've done that kind of math) and how it was all mathmatically significant and not contrived. (Not flaming, just curious )

They start at an arbitrary letter, then make a long string separated into columns by adding on every n-th letter, then search in every direction for something that looks like a name or date, then try to find something that could relate to that in the general area of the original found name or date.

Since I don't REMEMBER anything catastophic last Christmas, I'll have to keep my eyes open this year.

If anyone has read the book, it's worth pointing out that the experiment has been repeated using the text of 'Moby Dick'.

Similar associated words are found when the text is analysed in the same way as in 'The Bible Code'.

I just stay out of it so I don't have to worry about it. I don't know the specifics. If it's true, fine. If it's false, fine. It doesn't change my life so I just don't worry about it.

Face it people, its basically a mathitmatical equation set up to get words that you want out of it. If it were true, we could prevent EVERY bad thing that occurs, or at the very least reduce the amount of damage inflicted.
