Hey Guys,

My vista 32 bit computer runs well and isn't having any problems with all my other games, but the BF2 disc freezes my pc when I try to install the game or even simply view the files on it. The disc is in good shape and my dvd/cd drive installed all my other games with no problems...searching on google nobody says that they can't even start the install...I jsut see some people say it freezes halfway through....but I can't even begin to install. Any ideas?

Sorry I should have said I tried that. The disc freezes when I even hit the "Apply" button to run it in xp and admin mode.

I also should mention its a disc that installed and played fine for me on my old Xp machine. This is a new pc that never had bf2 or any bf game installed on it.

very odd, never heard of this one.

Not sure how you can get around this but I may have a step 2 solution.

If you can, try and take all the files out of the cd. Create folders, Disc1, Disc2, Disc3 (if they are all cd's) and copy paste all the files to these folders.

Then just install from Disc1 files and never use the cd ever again. Of course you'll need to first get the files out of the disc. Try with another computer and burn to a dvd then take the files out to your desktop???

Ok this is really stupid but since I posted I figure I better respond incase someone was interested. I just tested the disc on my brothers xp machine and guess what, no workie. Very odd, I guess I'll be paying another 12 bux for a game i payed $50 for 4 years ago. Can someone tell me if theres still enough people playing to make it worthwhile?
