Asus P4T-E 850 chip set rambus ram pc 800..... 400 FSB ........or Asus P4PE 845 chip set DDR ram 333 533 FBS i know the cost of the two............. but which is the better performer? any input would be realy cool,

I really want to believe that the 845PE chipset will outperform the 850 w/ PC800 Rdram.

If you had PC1066 and the board was supporting it, then............I think Rdram outperforms there.

That's the old 850... i don't think that thing has the right dividers... if you were going to go RDRAM go get the P4T533/P4T533-C... overclocking isn't guaranteed either. But the P4T533 can lock AGP/PCI 😀 ... i'd get the P4PE if i were you. 🙂

I recently purchased a asus p4pe board with a 2.53 ghz p4, and it rocks. It is based on the 845 chipset. Board has all the features that you could want.
