In what sense do you mean "caught"? As in the IP's of people logging into the site were tagged?

I'm curious because I was busted by the MPAA myself for downloading a TV show through BT. Got too excited with my new comp and my 120 gig HD, so I went on a spree...a week later the college's IT team gives me a personal visit in my room regarding the infraction. Situation was resolved, and I never used BT again in fear of being caught.

Thanks for any insight you guys and gals can offer. Cheers!

I read a thread about a guy who got a cease and desist letter from his ISP.

Umm your first link is a "no no" around here.

Umm your mom is a "no no" around here.
Doesn't that imply that her behavior is above reproach? If his mom is a "yes yes" it would be a less feeble retort.

You need to put more thought into your childish insults.

I've used all those torrents on my school campus and home. No "no no" notes or lockouts.

You get letters when your bandwidth usage goes through the roof and they notice you. Downloading lots of movies is probably the main culprit there.
You also might get a letter if your ISP gets a letter from some agency that monitors a torrent to see who downloads it.

Stop downloading copyrighted materials, and you won't have any problems. There isn't enough freeware worth downloading to get anyone in trouble with their ISP.
