Anyone can recommend a great web hosting site that provides about 500MB of web space for a reasonable price? thanks in advance.
 
Ya know... everyone hates them, but i don't pause at recommending dreamhost. Sure, they oversell, but they don't penalize you for it. If you're actually using the tons of bandwidth you were promised, then your site mysteriously goes down for an hour and comes back on an empty server 🙂

make sure you go for a MAX97 deal (google it)
 
i have been using hostpc.com for over that past year or two and haven't had any issues with them. nice yearly prices too 🙂

and dont use godaddy.com their PHP/mysql is slow!! grr. (and once I waited 30 min for tech support to talk to me on the phone...but other times it was like 2 min wait.)
 
Anyone have any clue as to why these sites offer an immense amount of disk space (even geocities, lowest being 2 gigs) while a site like angelfire only offers 150MB, yet it is 15$ a month? Then when you wanna get 300MBs its double the price? I'm assuming they have some sort of service that others do not have? Anyone can clarify?
 
not sure, the setup i have is 1.2GB and 20GB transfer monthly....and even during the heaviest of times i still get 200-300KB/s from them and i think i might have had 1 outage in the past year
