Most the best commercials were from car companies. The "Darth Vader" and "Black Betty" ones from VW were great to.

But yes, the Chrysler one gave me chills. And it is unfortunate that they wasted so much effort, talent, and money on that commercial to pimp the 200.

Yea, just posted this in OT, but the ad was pretty inspiring. Gave me goosebumps.

It was a good commercial. While the 200 isn't on my short list of cars I want it's quite a bit better than the Sebring it replaced. The new cars they're putting out are much better, hopefully the trend continues. Ford and GM have shifted gears and are putting out a nice lineup again, it would be great if Chrysler joined them.

Agreed - Great Commercial!

The 200 is pretty well redesigned from the Sebring of old. Its not re-skinned like the badge engineering days.

New interior
New exterior
New engine
New transmission
New Suspension (lower by 1/2 inch)

Sure - the subframe is the same but it does not drive/look like a Sebring.

i still see lots of sebring in it. that being said, i hope they're just doing the whole "ford taurus" move so they can bring out the *real* 200 in the next 2-3 years.

I'm sure many people find it funny that you will buy a VW though.
Haha just teasing man :D

Yeah yeah. Quality wise my VW is better than any Chrysler I test drove last year while still being sportier and nicer inside :awe:

Yeah it's an inspiring ad, just like all the new Chrysler ones. But the 200 is such a mediocre looking car. The concept looked amazing, but it's like they then had a flashback to the frumpy 90s. The misaligned "character line" makes it look like the Caliber.

As if the 90s Jap and Krout variants weren't frumpy?

http://www.autoblog.com/2011/02/06/more-chrysler-factory-workers-caught-enjoying-the-plant-at-jef/

What is it about working at the Chrysler Jefferson North facility (pictured above) that drives employees to get high? Controversy has bubbled up again in the form of a new report of auto workers at the factory smoking pot during their lunch break.

The last report came in September 2010 when a local Fox News affiliate caught video footage of a group of off-duty Chrysler employees apparently downing a few beers and smoking a joint or two in the company parking lot. This time, Chrysler reportedly busted another three workers - who were evidently not deterred by (or fully cognizant of) the publicity surrounding the previous incident - for partaking in the controlled substance during their downtime.

The automaker reportedly tipped off the man local police to the act on January 24, leading to the workers' arrests. Formal charges have reportedly not yet been filed, however. Two possible outcomes as a result of the arrests? 1. Workers actually wait until they're home to light up next time. 2. Afternoon vending machine revenue at Jefferson North plummets.
