The best song/music from a video game

The score in The Last of Us was probably my favorite. Equal to an actual film score.
 
I can't pick one but I love the entire Xenogears Soundtrack by Yasinori Mitsuda I especially like the Celtic influence on many of the songs. It fits very well with the feel of the game.

Oh, another of these threads...

I could vote for any number of examples across the major JRPGs alone...Final Fantasy, Ys, Chrono, ranging from old to new and not yet released. That's not even scratching the surface. Impossible to pick a favorite.

Exactly.

If you've been playing games for a decent amount of years, and have a broad interest in different genres (especially RPGs), it's just silly. There's just faaaar too many flat-out masterpieces to even begin trying to narrow it down.

Hell, it's virtually impossible to pick a "best" song from Chrono Trigger alone, let alone all games of all-time.
