For best quality, there is only ONE choice....the IOSS RD3XP cables. You can get them from holomaxx. I've ordered from them, no problems. Be aware that if they're sold out of a certain cable, it won't even be visible on their site till it's back in stock (look like they don't carry them).
What makes them the best:
1) Rounded, shielded with a ground wire.
2) Individual ground wires in the cable between every data line.
3) What really helps, an indivdual layer of foil shielding between every flat layer of cables in the round coil.
When you look at the ground wire between every data line, and each layer of data lines seperated by foil shielding layer as well as the whole cable wrapped, you're looking at the best shielded cables available. In addition, the IDE connectors are reinforced with cloth at the parts where it bends.
They come in 8", 12", and 20" single IDE lengths. I'd avoid the 8" as IDE specs call for at least 10" (I own 2 of the 12"...very nice). Also, they have double IDE lenghts of 12" and 20" (I own 2 of the 20" doubles...even though 2" greater than IDE spec, because of all the shielding, the extra 2" should NOT cause any problems).
