Please I need help in selecting the best print server for my small network. I need 10/100 compatibility and at least 2 parallel ports. an internal processor is also a plus. I have an eye on one from a company named AXIS Communication, model 5600. can I get some more suggestions? I have an HP Laser Jet and an EPSON 800 color to hook up.

We use intel, but its not a home network. Works like a champ but I think it cost about $400 a year or two ago. I say search deja newsgroups for the AXIS 5600 and see if people are moaning about it. Sorry I couldn't help you more.

I second the intel. Been using those at just about every job I've worked so far. Also, check HP jet direct boxes. They are very easy to setup as long as you can assign them an IP address on your network. Just look at this as an investment...or go with the cheapest thing you can find that gets good reviews on Cnet. Good luck.

I personally prefer Jetdirects all the time If your servers are NT based. Especially the internal varitys for the Hps.

MAKE SURE the epson is networkable, some of them were a pain with the drivers and would only print local.
