on a side note, I am watching a recent Motely Crue concert on MuchMore Music.

Vince is singing Helter Skelter.

Goddamn I'm glad the power ballads are gone.

Boo! You're either too young or too old to appreciate.

I'm not ashamed to admit that DLR Van Halen and the Scorpions (Animal Magnetism to Love at First Sting era) were my favorite bands in junior high school. 🙂

Separate Ways is not a power ballad. Faithfully is.

I declare Vic the winner. No one can top Steve Perry in the Journey heydays

I was starting to wonder why it took someone so long to post a Journey song. Of course once Journey was mentioned its hard or damn near impossible to mention anyone better then them in a power ballad.

Bringing up Journey in a power ballad discussion is unneeded. Everyone knows/remembers Journey. 🙂

Queensryche was awesome.

Dude, thank you, I actually had the original music video of silent lucidity up to post after getting through this thread. QR is amazing, just saw them recently on the Mindcrime tour (mindcrime I and II in their entirety), amazing show.

Operation: Mindcrime was easily one of the best albums of that decade.

hahahahaha oh man so awful. what a terrible, terrible band. the worst part is when he shaves off his moustache. is this video supposed to be funny?

I wasn't born until '84 so I was a bit late to the party, but damn do I remember the 80's fondly. Gotta love being a 1st grader and rocking a friend's house with some GnR on his older brother's stereo.

A scary thought to add is that now that I've moved to Kentucky I'm finding a lot of this music on the modern rock stations. Not just a song an hour or anything; this is a major part of the music they play down here.

Much better than a large majority of the garbage churned out the current music industry.
