Crysis/Crytek could easily implement this. I think modders already have.
 
Explosions ? World in Conflict. That nuke is a sight to behold !

Most systems use particles for explosions, which uses some physics, but not really a physics engine like physx or havok.

I haven't played the game yet, but seen some gameplay videos of SoF: Payback and totally agree.
