It's been around longer than 2004 bro. The end of his prime was probably just a year or two later, but even though he can get repetitive and some of his humor is more juvenile than scathing, he definitely had his niche and dominated it. For a while references to his page were as ubiquitous as any meme thing today.

EDIT: Haha, this one is relevant to recent news.

Weird I never heard of it. Maybe cause I didn't spend much time around OT type sites back then. It's only been fairly recently I went to much other than technical venues.

He was hilarious at his time due to the then-new cynical asshole angle.

Now that shiet is the norm on internet which everyone knows how to do.

He was gonna do a youtube show with a small production company show or so few years back. Apparently it didn't take off.

quite old, it's fun when you first find about it but after you've read some stuff it becomes boring. Cracked me up the first time though.

I never saw that one. Love it. :awe: Highly applicable to this thread as well. And the many people that read XKCD without understanding the subject matter of the humor, as evidenced by the frequent Google Trends spikes that occur with new comics.
