I was kinda thinking of getting an ic7 max3 but it's out of stock in most places where I am. So are there any alternatives to it? How about a P4P800 Deluxe or a IC7? Any recommendations please? Thanks alot for help before hand.

I think you may mean vdimm max is 2.85v and not vcore. With 2.85 vcore you would fry the cpu PDQ and most P4C chips don't do much better with anything above 1.60 vcore.

I think the max3 is too expensive so maybe the asus p4p800....You defintely want a good mobo has 250fsb plus can be had and this is the line that separates the contenders form the pretenders in P4 ociing platforms....

I have the P4P800 Deluxe with a P4 2.6C @ 3.12, 1.525V (1.55 reported by CPU-Z) (still testing o/c buts its been stress testing for over 12 hours and is still fine). I would definetly recommend this board. It goes up to 1.9V CPU VCore (but asus overvolts so its prolly 2V), but over 1.65 will eventually kill the CPU, so no need for more than that. VDIMM goes up to 2.95V, but I keep mine at 2.65V and it works well. The FSB is 100 to 400. Also the P4P800 features a turbo mode that gives a nice performance boost when overclocking (I benchmarked with Sandra and saw a difference).
