It looks pretty close to a regular Focus. I know the UK gets the 2.5L turbo engine from a Volvo, do you?

Wouldn't know.

That's the Focus that's shown as orange, in the ads, right?

Yeah, but I'd like to think you can get it in other colors.

A Ford Focus ST (fully loaded) costs 33,470 EUR (~42,786 USD), and a ?koda Octavia, also fully loaded, would cost 32,865 EUR (~42,017 USD).

Tough choice for a difference of 605 EUR (~ 760USD)

PS: the orange for the Focus an extra 800 EUR, over the Electric blue that I chose.

Even if the Euro' Focus is a lot nicer than the one we have over here.... I still can't imagine paying Corvette money for a Focus.

You have to if you live there. Western European countries tax things so heavily you end up paying nearly double what the thing is worth. If you ever watch Top Gear, you'll hear them say the price of a car, say £15,000, and you'll stop for a second, then realize the same car here costs about $16-17,000.

Hell, you mention the Corvette. Top Gear and Fifth Gear just reviewed the z06. Cost? About £60,000.

So that makes it the same, cuase its about $60,000 here.
Wow, the car is the same price in both places!

😉

😉

1 GBP is = 1.87 USD

So, the 'vette costs $112,000 in the UK.

Nice try though, really....... 😀

I'd imagine you could even buy a regular Legacy and drop in a turbo engine with a front mounted intercooler, no hood scoop. Or put a regular hood on your LGT and use an FMIC.

FTW

you can get the same engine in a forester. apparently you don't know the meaning of sleeper.

how the hell would you clump civics and accords as sleepers? the vast majority are just flashy rice.

however, w/ that said, there's a shop here that does NA work on honda motors. imagine seeing a bone stock looking CRV (yeah, the miniSUV if you can call it that) smoke an sti 🙂 the owner of the shop did it more as proof of concept.

Whoa! Please don't confuse the UK with the rest of Europe. Things are usually a lot more expensive in the UK (at least in England, or more specifically yet, London).

But yea, I gotta agree with taxing. Sales tax in Belgium is either 19% or 21% depending on the product you are buying.

I think EyeMWing woudl agree w/ me... a 1989 - 1990 Plymouth Voyager or Dodge Caravan.

EDIT: who gives a damn it if is Euro!?! This is the ULTIMATE sleeper.

What the fsck is that?!

:Q

Fiat Multipla.

And it's more useful than an Aztek, Scourge. At least this thing can seat six😉 (I have no idea what the interior of an Aztek looks like though, only seen it from the outside)

Oh yea...jagec: that probably is a good sleeper car, since nobody would really suspect. Why didn't I think of that! *smacks forehead*

This isn't a good place to ask. We have very little knowledge of what's available on the European market.
